I was recently trying to downgrade Windows 10 to Windows 7 on an old computer to play some old games that weren't Win 10 compatible . When booting from a CD Win 7 I kept getting the message that the file was corrupt, but after some research I found that my old DVD drive was defective. Since Win 7 is no longer available to download to a flash drive, I'm stuck. I bought this as a cheap fix so it allowed me to boot Win 7 from the bios with no issues. For some reason when I plugged the drive into the front USB ports it didn't boot, when I switched to the rear ports it booted and ran like clockwork. I suspect this is more of a problem with my computer than the drive itself. Very happy with the purchase. Edit: I see now that the manufacturer recommends using rear USB connectors that connect directly to the motherboard, so here it is.
