I've tried several of these four probe meat thermometers but finally got a working one. The previous ones either lost the signal after a few meters distance or reached a certain temperature and never exceeded it. This works remotely, takes readings and is fairly accurate. Meat temperature settings can be changed if you don't agree, and you'll be notified when it's reached. The probes are colored for easy identification, although it is sometimes difficult to distinguish gold from green on a smoker. The transmitter is magnetic, which is very convenient, although due to the heat of my smoker, I choose where to place it carefully. The whole lot comes in a really nice bag which is handy so you don't have parts everywhere or like me in a zipped bag. I won't say this is the golden tip of thermometers, but it works for me at a reasonable price.
