Review on πŸ“± Transform Your Asus Eee Pad with the TF101 Mobile Docking Station by Anthony Grover

Great addition to the tablet!

Convertible tablet is really good but with the dock I now have a netbook with longer battery life. However, the buttons take some getting used to. The Shift key on the right side of the keyboard is a bit small and I often miss it when typing. I'm getting used to it, so I don't think it will be a problem for very long. I have a couple of netbooks (Dell Mini and Acer) and the Asus keyboard is just as good as those keyboards. There's actually a slight gap between the keys, which I like. I have other tablets (Xoom, Toshiba, iPad) but with the dock I reach for my Transformer more than others. I feel like I'm getting the best of both worlds and maybe a preview of future laptops with touchscreens and keyboards (and Windows 8). It's great to be able to swipe the screen and then type on a familiar keyboard when writing emails, reviews, etc. The sensitivity of the touchpad is okay. The transformer was easy to connect to the docking station, and together the transformer and docking station were not overly heavy or bulky. The tablet/dock is a little heavy, but I had no trouble tipping over (and sits well on my lap without overheating). Overall, the docking station has greatly improved my Transformer experience. I highly recommend having both a tablet and a docking station. I didn't need two USBs, but since I can do more with this tablet than listen to Pandora and surf the web, I'm confident I can store documents on a jump drive. will be comfortable. I haven't checked out an SD card reader either, but I'm sure it will come in handy too.
