took a few days for my eight cats to come around to this new fangled water supply. the youthful ones approached it as an adventure; the more senior ones thought it was a nuisance… "why fix what ain't broke?!" until they did break the second "normal" water bowl by pushing a heavy object off the counter where it landed on a perfect spot of the ceramic dish below. so: too bad, so sad--S.O.L.--now all of them drink out of this and at least i think it's the cat's meow! (oh, i did have to #1, get an extension cord, and #2, protect the cord from playful younguns who thought i had not only added a fun, new gadget, but attached unique "string" to it that they could yank on & chew!)p.s. the dogs are fine with it.
