Not suitable for 94 Ford Ranger.
The base of the OEM pump and the last universal pump I bought fit snugly against the bottom metal plate. Not this pump. I may or may not stay in place with the filter attached. Given the work involved, I wouldn't risk it. Also, the last universal pump I bought had a connector at the top so there was no splicing. It doesn't and requires splicing the wires inside the tank.
