Review on Portable recorder Olympus LS-14 by Duong Mac Anh Quan ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm satisfied with it, there are only some small flaws.

There is a mistake in the local description: the recorder does not have an FM tuner, it has a tuner for tuning musical instruments. Got pros: Long operating time due to low current consumption. Excellent sensitivity of the built-in microphones over the entire frequency range. Can be used as a great studio recorder even without an external microphone! Has some cons Two inputs at the same time with each other (line and microphone) do not work, as it works in the LS-5 model. Either one or the other works, depending on which connector is plugged into when recording starts. Plastic case, i. E. no shielding from nearby cell phones. There are no windscreens for microphones in the kit, as in some other expensive models. There is no possibility of manual selection of the bit depth and sampling rate of the recorded file, the choice is only from the available presets, unlike the LS-5 model. Slightly more noise compared to the same LS-5, although sensitivity is better. There is no warranty support in cities where there are no authorized Olympus services. The recorder began to consume current by itself in the off state, as if it were on, so it discharges the battery in a day, and in fact there is nowhere to repair it, you either have to go to Hong Kong time, or it’s not clear what to do at all .
