[UPDATE: 4 months in use] It has been 4 months since I bought this machine and used it daily. Overall, it's really efficient due to its high specs, and I don't have to worry about opening too many workspaces or downloading too many files as its storage and memory requirements are huge. well, as I would like. My usual workload isn't very heavy: <5 terminals, many, many browser tabs (I find Firefox eats quite a bit of battery), code editors are always on, sometimes Spotify plays. And the average battery life is only about 5 hours. which definitely doesn't get me through the day without packing a damn heavy charger. As always, I really like the Lenovo keyboard, the overall experience is still worth a >4.5 rating given the features and price. ----- ---------------------------------[ORIGINAL REVIEW] I bought the P51 with 32GB RAM , 1 TB SSD. I've been using it for a few days currently and it works lightning fast. When something goes wrong it's usually because my network isn't fast enough or the quality of the video itself is way below 4K. I couldn't find anything wrong with this car. This is ENERGY! (much more economical than a Macbook Pro and hopefully more durable, based on Lenovo's historically high standard). I'm a developer using Ubuntu 18.04 LTS Dual Boot with Win10. Everything is going pretty smoothly. Selecting a machine with 32GB of RAM is intended for potentially multiple instances of VMs for penetration testing. I haven't had a chance to test it, maybe I'll update my review later. As usual I really like the keyboard, it may seem strange but I found it addictive while typing. So again, high-spec ultra-fast device, more portable than I expected (considering Alienware's weight), amazing 4K display, mediocre audio, really impressive cooling system with almost imperceptible noise. Also, I love ports. (Sorry Apple fans) Battery life, need more time to tell but it's currently running stably at 8 hours under normal workload (little YouTube, mostly web browsing and mostly editor work code). In general very satisfied!
