Bought because Win 10 couldn't detect the microphone; saved because MAIRDI works better than the old Logitech

After not using my Logitech USB headset for several months while moving out of state, I wanted to use Dragon Naturally Speaking Voice Dictation 13 on my resume new site. The same headset, same PC and DNS 13 used to work fine on Windows 10, but now all I got was error messages about the audio system not adjusting even though Logitech was set as the default input device. I spent days following online instructions for possible fixes - like plugging a headset into a new USB port, restarting the computer, uninstalling and reinstalling DNS 13 - but I still got error messages that DNS was the microphone couldn't see. I finally gave in and ordered a MAIRDI headset as a replacement as several articles recommended it as a last resort. Initially, DNS 13 wasn't working with the MAIRDI headset, but I finally came across an online HowToWindows article dated January 1, 2019 titled Microphone not working after Windows 10 update (version 1809) that explains how to fix the Privacy settings changes applications access to the microphone. Thank god and the author that the fix worked! Now that I can use the MAIRDI headset in DNS, I've found that it offers better speech recognition accuracy, better background noise blocking, and a more comfortable earpad than my older Logitech headset. The software issue made matters worse, but the upside was that I found this excellent headset at a reasonable price, which saved me dictation time.
