Sturdy with a plastic feel
These are sturdy as advertised with plastic on the outside. The ones I received had cosmetic defects from the plastic molding process on the bumpers under the lid, so every time I would lift the lid, I would see the defects.If you like the feel of wooden seats and want a consistent appearance (no defects in plastic), then these are not for you. If you’re looking for a sturdy seat and you don’t mind if it feels like plastic and has some cosmetic imperfections, then these are great.
