A VERY LOUD kitty, when turned on to boil water, it makes noise like a train is coming. I tried several ways to solve this problem. I would like to return it if I had the chance. The optimist in me lets this crappy design go for my money. 1 star only if it matches the color you want. The noise this kettle makes is louder than a whistle, which is not so easy to drown out even from the next room. So come on, I can't hear anything when I'm in the other room. If you're standing next to the stove to hear it, there's no point in having that whistle there. In China, they are confused - the sound of a whistle. And cooking should be quick and quiet. And according to the instructions, you can only boil half the kettle. What's the point of being that size if you can only use half? Not happy with the quality.
