Withstands strong winds.
I bought this for wooden gates to keep the wind from opening the gate. I live in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains where wind speeds typically reach 30-40 mph. Two of my three gates explode, even with padlocks, and sometimes my dogs run away. This lock has kept this gate intact for four cycles of high winds. Ideal!
