Kit had 2 dead parts

They appear to work fairly well but there were 2 dead parts in the set. They may still work, but I haven't had a chance to change the batteries yet. While I was using them on the project 2 more died so I'm guessing they are batteries. Sometimes one of them reads a little differently than the others.
