I recently bought a Foscam webcam because I have bought security cameras from them in the past and I'm honestly a fan of their company. As many Mac users know, the MacBook Pro models' camera, new as it is, is absolutely awful. I thought Foscam would be better so I bought it. For the relatively low price I think it's a great thing. Sure, there are higher resolution webcams out there, but for less than $30 you can't go wrong with these... and hey, I'm not trying to create a MyFans page where I need a high resolution webcam. I mainly use the webcam for meetings and the occasional meet-up with friends, so the W25 is perfect for that specific role. The image is clear enough for its purpose. There are other reviews here that describe the functionality great, but I won't go into detail because others have already done so. Instead, I'll focus on a few specific things: 1) image quality comparison (MBP vs. Foscam) in low light (my music studio) and 2) video recording. First I took a few shots, one with my laptop camera and the other with a Foscam camera. As you can see, the MBP camera is much grainier but adapts to low-light scenarios a bit better. Foscam, on the other hand, is definitely much sharper and more detailed. Most cameras do not perform well in low/low light conditions. My studio isn't very lit, but it's not very bright either, and that's by design. I get a decent amount of my appointments from there, but I think the Foscam image quality will suffice. I think they can definitely make small adjustments to the light adaptation in the future with some firmware updates. As I mentioned earlier, for a webcam, the Foscam camera does a great job, especially considering how cheap it is (I bought mine for less than $30). Of course there are many other uses for the camera like playing games and so on but I wanted to do a quick video test/demo for the capture so you can see the video and sound quality. I suppose that might be enough for a webcam capture - the image quality is the same, but at least you won't see my messy COVID hair. Please watch the video for my thoughts on this. Please note that the camera was designed as a webcam and not as a high-resolution 4K camera. The microphone is also exceptionally good. Don't expect ultra high definition audio/video - it basically gets the job done and is inexpensive (yes, I know, I keep repeating the part about how affordable it is). Overall I'm very happy with it and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap webcam to chat with friends/family or use for Zoom/Hangouts/MS Teams office meetings, gaming and/or short video reviews for Revain use or whatever. They are. Oh, I almost forgot to mention how easy it is to install! All you have to do is plug it in! When you're done with that, just open the app you want to use it with and select it from the camera options dropdown menu. Of course, this varies from operating system to operating system and app to app, but it's very intuitive. It really is that simple, a caveman could do it! UPDATE: It looks like Revain is compressing the audio/video quality. Upon review, after my review was approved, I noticed that the audio and video quality had degraded to a point well below my original recording. The audio/video on the webcam is slightly better than what you see.
