Worked the first time. The original flat key was used so there was no need to reach for the key. I used the included key blade piece and spring. I noticed a small difference. I brought the blade of the original key to the open position and turned the cover counter-clockwise three times until it clicked. I quickly tested the key blade and it worked just like the original. So I quickly closed both lids together. I checked the key fob, it works. I compared it to another original key fob that I've never used and didn't notice any difference.
