Close but not perfect

The key fob comes very close to the original, but doesn't quite fit perfectly. I kept the key part from my old key fob and while it works, the key eject button isn't big enough to make it work perfectly. You have to push the key out to open it fully.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Little things

Just in case... While I'm MDing

Need a spare part for metal detection I got the idea after reading Steve Cormier's hobby book The Metal Detector's Guide, it was a good read to explore and refresh your memory of this wonderful hobby. Spending some free time in the outback was a great idea... Thank you.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • I don't really like it, it's ok

Works, costs money

These works are for 2014 Chevy Cruze. They don't come with instructions, I used YouTube videos for help. The video wasn't for that particular manufacturer, but it helped. One thing the video doesn't show is that you need to preload the recoil spring before final assembly. All electronic functions work well, as does the folding key.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Periodicity

Great replacement for my Gmc 2015 Terrain key fob

Worked the first time. The original flat key was used so there was no need to reach for the key. I used the included key blade piece and spring. I noticed a small difference. I brought the blade of the original key to the open position and turned the cover counter-clockwise three times until it clicked. I quickly tested the key blade and it worked just like the original. So I quickly closed both lids together. I checked the key fob, it works. I compared it to another original key fob that I've…

Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Your factory key can be MUCH harder to parse than the YouTube video shows.

Before trying this option, I watched a few YouTube videos to see what would involve replacing the key fob shell. It looked so easy, but I found my factory key almost impossible to spot. I literally had to tear it to pieces to take the circuit board off. I was able to remove the circuit board without damaging it, but it was extremely difficult. Also, I found it impossible to remove the small pin to use the original key. This was easily resolved as I was able to get a new key from my Chevy dealer
