So if you're like me try to find a way to connect a 2.5" hose to a 2.5" vacuum inlet and vacuum hose . They also looked at a lot of this stuff trying to figure out if it would work for your application without any real explanation/description of what it does. Look no further. You need that. As shown, I attached a hard vacuum to a Rockler vacuum hose reel. You were perfect. Previously I ordered another set that was only 2.5 inches so they didn't fit the holes. They have a threaded end for attaching the hose and then friction enters the holes for both the vacuum and the coil. I haven't had any slipping or other issues so they fixed the issue and are working as expected.
