Review on πŸ”© Optimal Drywall Anchors for Superior Drilling Experience by Vince Preston

Revainrating 3 out of 5

inexpensive screws with slightly rounded heads

Have been using this anchor for a very long time. The anchor part of the wall is fine. However, the screws are not very strong. I hung a flush mount shelf and grabbed these anchors in case I couldn't find a bolt. I have used this type of anchor for kitchen cabinets and all associated glasses. I was lucky enough to find the studs when hanging the shelf and the doweled screws almost hit the wall before rounding out and going no further. I drilled pilot holes in the studs and used dish soap to lubricate the screws, but after removing a few screws I found alternative screws to complete my job. I'd say if you want really strong anchors go for them, but I'd also recommend that you get much better bolts. The ones that are included if you can't find the rivets. I give this three stars because the materials are of course a bit below average in my opinion. I suppose I could have given them more stars if I hadn't found the bolts to screw my shelf to the wall, but the fact remains the screws are too soft to re-match when needed. They arrived on time and well packaged.

Pros
  • Die-cast zinc for maximum strength. Easy to remove
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank
