Review on Adafruit Stereo Speaker Bonnet Raspberry by Juzer Rashid

Purchased with a set of stereo speakers 3W 4Ohm. Wanted to add this to the Alexa/Echo RPI3 setup. I have to go back to using a USB or 3.5mm port, which I didn't want to do. Spent so much time meticulously soldering all the pins for fear this would be the hard part, which it wasn't, it just took time. Later that night plugged in the hood, booted up, ran the script from their website and rebooted. And nothing. A reboot causes a popping noise from the speakers, but no new hardware is listed in the sound settings and all sound tests fail. I've tried troubleshooting, googling the error message and solving it that way, but no one else seems to be having the issue. . Wasted money and time.
