Better than most step drill bits
The surface and edge quality of the step drill bit is ten times better than the cheap Chinese metal bits you can get from HF. While it doesn't have a TiN coating, I'm pretty sure it will last longer than ten cheaper tips. It even arrived in a nice protective sleeve hidden in bubble wrap, inside the second bubble wrap.
