The easy way to add a microphone to your camcorder
Your camcorder probably has a bad built-in microphone. Add an external microphone with this mount. You can mount this bracket along or across the longitudinal axis of the camcorder. I often mount it lengthways so that the mic is in line with the camcorder and faces my mouth when speaking. I point the mic forward to conduct an interview or to record the audio ahead. Very helpful. Both the camera screw and cold shoe screw have 1/4-20 threads on the bottom for more mounting flexibility. For example, you can set up a tripod, flashlight, field recorder, monitor, another cold shoe, etc. Cheap and so comfortable!
