I like that you can see out, and light is filtered but not eliminated. The room was still light, and my plants still get enough light. BUT everything has a rainbow prism effect that is very distracting and not attractive with my decorIt is a pain to apply . First, this product would be greatly improved by a grid on the backing so you can cut it straight. Many other products of this sort have it.You may think you don't need a squeegee, but it's so much easier. A ruler can work, if you don't have one , but a squeegee is definitely better.Apply much more water than you think is necessary. I lightly misted the window, the film kept falling down until I really drenched it. This of course leads to water bubbles, which is where the squeegee comes in. Get ready to do a lot of sqeegeeing. Because this has a pattern wrinkles , bubbles, and seams are less noticeable.If you're doing a larger window it helps to have 2 people. It's hard to position, smooth and hold up a bigger piece by yourself.I used this on a set of patio doors. It's not wide enough to cover a door, so I had to do each door in 2 pieces and theres a horizontal seam that's distracting.It took 2 rolls to do an average sized set of patio doors. ( I used different textures on each side)
