Review on Varivalve 925005 00 Adjustable Angle Valve by Chris Horton

I bought these to replace some old vents that had failed on our 1930's steam radiators. Its best feature is without a doubt its compact profile. A small radiator is so close to the wall that I decided to cut off the old vent because it couldn't be rotated without hitting the wall, rather than detaching and moving the radiator. Once the old one was detached the replacement was installed in minutes - some tape and screwed in, they are short enough to rotate with ease. They sound a little different than other models we have around the house as they are vented and take a bit of getting used to. They vent and close more often when you start the system in the morning, as if they were breathing. But they don't rattle and don't open and close, they're quiet enough. I am convinced of them.
