I bought these to replace some old vents that had failed on our 1930's steam radiators. Its best feature is without a doubt its compact profile. A small radiator is so close to the wall that I decided to cut off the old vent because it couldn't be rotated without hitting the wall, rather than detaching and moving the radiator. Wow these little valves are amazing. Installed in seconds to replace various mismatched vent valves I had. These new valves make no noise when steam is applied. No hiss, no click. Just constant heat and silence! I've never had this before. My previous vents made so much noise.
