I understand what other people are saying about the soft zipped pocket inside the bag: it makes the bag less flexible on that side and takes up the space it needs. If you have a very large mobile phone or a small tablet, you will probably appreciate the case. Too bad the bag is optional but it wouldn't be very cost effective for the company. Shabby nylon is great, very attractive. I had this slightly larger microfiber bag that I bought from LL Bean. Apparently it was made by the same manufacturer as the AmeriBag. The microfiber looked pretty gross after a while with no improvement from washing. Also, the shoulder strap slipped inward, making the bag look crappy. The AmeriBag Extra-Small is a bit small for me. I would definitely buy this bag again but probably small rather than very small and made of distressed nylon rather than microfiber. Both microfiber and distressed nylon are machine washable and air dry.
