This is an exceptionally good CD player, bought to replace a broken Sony model that cost twice as much, although it had little programmability and a hell of a battery compartment under the cover due to opening and ejection CD was required when my batteries died without warning. It was noisy too, an issue as I keep it next to the bed and quiet operation is desired. This model features a fully programmable option for any track order (Sony only allows you to select tracks in ascending numerical order), silent operation, convenient navigation buttons and a large LCD display. There is a choice of 2 additional sound options for more bass, but I think the default option is fine. The digital-to-analogue conversion isn't bad given the low price. I've had it for 3 weeks with great performance so far. Highly recommend and way better than the expensive Sony model it replaced.
