Magnets did what I asked them to do. Just peel and stick. It's been three weeks since I put them on, they seem to be sticking well. (I wiped the items with rubbing alcohol to make sure the sticky surface was clean.) Only time will tell if they continue to stick. Uses four magnets on the back of an 11" x 14" board (weight 9.4 oz). Uses four magnets on the board. the back of a 9" x 12" board " Acrylic trays (weight 8.0 oz). 18 magnets used on the back of a whiteboard with a 16 x 20" calendar (weight 2 lb 4.2 oz). Note: 18 magnets were an overkill, 16 would have done the same. maybe even could 14 be enough. (10 didn't work, the calendar tended to slip when pressed.) The magnets will hold the above items very securely to any flat steel surface. I'm not worried about them shaking off or sliding down. They work in any position, even upside down. And they can be removed without excessive force. I bought ferrite magnets instead of neodymium magnets specifically for this reason, neodymium magnets tend to be too strong. (Neodymium magnets stick so firmly to metal surfaces that the self-adhesive tape sometimes peels off the magnets.) For me, the 1" ferrite self-adhesive magnets proved to be the right balance of magnetic attraction and self-adhesive adhesion. . 5 stars.
