I would recommend cleaning the aluminum cap thoroughly before replacing to be sure.

The most expensive gasket I have ever bought but it works even though I just replaced the big one because it failed. Changed two weeks ago, no more leaks. I would recommend thoroughly cleaning the aluminum cap before replacing it to ensure you can spot any leaks after replacing that super expensive rubber seal.
