Review on Qlee Dimmable Floodlight Halogen Replacement: Enhanced Lighting Solution for Brighter Spaces by Leon Thompkins

I bought this lamp to replace the halogen lamp in my portable work light. The halogen unit was 300 watts and used to get so hot that I suffered severe burns several times when I accidentally touched the hot metal casing after this unit had been on for a while. It also gave off enough heat to keep my hands warm while working on the machine in cold weather. Still, I wanted to find an LED alternative that's as bright as halogen but not as hot - and hopefully much more durable. So I ordered this bulb and installed it in my work light and it works fine. EXCEPT. This monster's heatsink makes it MUCH heavier than its halogen equivalent. Due to the significantly higher weight, I have already noticed that if this bulb were to accidentally hit my work light, it would bulge out from the two electrical contact points. I've had to disassemble and reassemble my work light 8 or 9 times in the short time I've used this LED bulb in it. A tug or a nudge and the damn lightbulb will come loose from its electrical mount. I set it up very quickly so hopefully it stays in place a little better and doesn't come loose easily with a flick of the bracket. That one complaint aside, I'd say this 300-watt bulb is just as bright. The halogen bulb has been replaced but uses about 1/10th the electricity.
