Powerful but under 200W equivalent.

I installed it side by side in a dual headlight, one lighting a 500 watt halogen on the left and the other lighting this bulb. Add that you can see a big difference, maybe the LED light is equivalent to 150W, maybe a little less. So it's not a bad one, and even a powerful bulb, but no match for a powerful halogen. Of course, after a minute the one on the left was boiling hot and would probably burn out even if I moved the lamp, and the one on the right was barely above room temperature, so if…

So far, so good. for LED lamps

I bought this LED bulb to replace a 300w halogen bulb that uses a lot of electricity. Replacing this bulb was very easy and it fitted into the existing halogen bulb socket with no modifications to the heat reflector. The halogen bulb cover has been removed and did not need to be reinstalled on this LED lamp. The heat reflector needed cleaning to make it a little more reflective, but that was all that needed to be done to install this 300w LED bulb. A 300w LED bulb looks more like a 200-250w…

Good bright bulb, but.

I bought this lamp to replace the halogen lamp in my portable work light. The halogen unit was 300 watts and used to get so hot that I suffered severe burns several times when I accidentally touched the hot metal casing after this unit had been on for a while. It also gave off enough heat to keep my hands warm while working on the machine in cold weather. Still, I wanted to find an LED alternative that's as bright as halogen but not as hot - and hopefully much more durable. So I ordered this…
