Review on Enhance Productivity with CKL HDMI KVM 2 Port 4K 30Hz Dual Monitor Extended Display (CKL-922HUA) by Trey Harvey

*Disclaimer* I run a 3 monitor setup and this particular model is a 2 monitor setup. I could get a 3 monitor model but I'm cheap and didn't want to buy an extra VGA to HDMI converter. Due to the coronavirus I have had to work full time from home for the last few months and needed a solution to use my desktop computer for gaming at night as well as the ability to plug in a laptop dock for work during the day. I currently have the following inputs for each computer system. System 1: HDMI, DP, DP. System 2: VGA, DP, DP. Well, in terms of cost of a full DP solution or a 3 monitor solution, I found the easiest way to passively convert DP to HDMI and connect HDMI and VGA directly to one of the monitors. It takes an extra second to switch inputs on either monitor when both computers are active, but compared to that, the $100-$150 savings seems worth it to me. This device saves me the trouble of unplugging cables from one computer and switching to another. I should also note that I'm using a mechanical keyboard, something else from the KVMS spec that you can't use. What I don't like about the device is the hotkey option, but I turned it off so I wouldn't have any more problems. Overall a great experience.
