The device is really good, but it has one "problem": you have to know how to use it. By default, it's set up to please the average customer, but if you're a little taller you might find it underpowered. That's the wrong impression! And that was my case. I installed the router and was impressed with the quality of the admin UI and the range of features. Well, the next thing I found was ridiculously slow upload speeds - about half of what my ISP offers (10Mbps). I tried playing around with the settings here and there and finally came to the conclusion that "this device works exactly like this". In the end, it doesn't matter if 5Mbps or 10Mbps doesn't affect my day-to-day productivity very much, so I could live with that. But the next problem I found was the low signal issue. In my only wooden house shop, the signal could hardly be found in the second bathroom (don't ask why there). The direct distance was a maximum of 40 feet! And when I was almost ready to come here and give it a 1-star review, I gave it one last chance and played with *all* (literally) options. And it helped me understand two things: 1) The QoS setting is enabled by default and *really* affects the normal speed test (like Comcast or .NET). Always enter the correct up/down speed for your ISP. And remember that this setting affects the measurement of network speed. If you decide to check the actual speed of your network, don't forget to disable this feature (and enable it later).2) The default signal strength is 80mW. You can tune it up to 200mW (almost 4 times higher!) if you know where. Note: It is under the Wireless/Professional tab. The default settings should be suitable for an apartment but may not be enough for a home. So if you think this device is not suitable, try the options. You might think you know which option affects what, but. You can be wrong :) Try it.
