Not perfect but I got it

After purchase I discovered that this is a copy of the footrest for a well known bike brand that starts with the letter C. Even though it fits the center bracket on my non-C brand MTB, it flips out too far and hits the spokes. I had to add a rubber bumper/spacer to keep it from folding that far. There was also a lot of play in the hinge which made it feel flimsy. The hinge hole is 15mm wide and the hinge end of the leg is only 14mm thick so I added a 1mm thick nylon washer and now it seems much stronger. This article is a prime example of getting what you pay for.
