Cable not very flexible, not as silky as I would expect from a "flexible cable" although I've seen worse have seen. It's not scary and serves its purpose. The cord is sloped and doesn't twist easily, but it also means you can't just whip the cord as needed or simply coil it up. Black rubber and greasy residue easily sticks to everything, soiling clothes, hands and leaving slip marks. I tried cleaning the jacket but that didn't change much. My guess is that the sheathing is just plain low quality rubber compound, probably doesn't hold up to heat well and is likely to become brittle and rot after a few years, not EPDM or a similar more durable material. Exposure to flame may present a risk of fire or inhalation given the apparent oil content. I don't think this is a good choice for using and abusing welding cords. Wouldn't order again.
