My old Windows 7 laptop had a problem with its internal Wi-Fi module and recently started failing. I received this device to replace my internal WiFi module. I chose this one because I have an old laptop and this device has the necessary drivers built in - how nifty is that? It came today, turned off the internal WiFi, plugged this adapter into the USB 2.0 port, a virtual drive appeared and started setup.exe according to the instructions. He installed the driver and bingo! It worked. It's just as good as my old internal adapter, maybe a little faster, and has worked flawlessly so far. If I come across any bugs or issues I will come back and update this review. It flashes blue to indicate signal activity. This distracts me a bit so I sealed it with some black tape I had on hand but some might like that aspect as you can see exactly if it works or not. At this price point you can't go wrong, and the upside is that you can uninstall it and use it with another laptop, and the correct drivers are easy to install (again, they're stored *in* the device itself - a great idea!) . Overall I'm very happy with this Wi-Fi adapter and think it's a great price and product! Update 2-3-21: Just a quick update to find that my Wi-Fi speed has been much faster and very compatible with this device. So far, so good!
