I was in a hurry and bought this adapter for SSD. I bought it because it's an Orico product, assuming it's metal and an airflow photo. I was shocked it was plastic when it arrived but gave me reason to doubt it (previous experience with Orico products) and added an SSD for use in an Asustor NAS. The plate's temperature was around 35°C without load, and it reached 43°C under load. Ambient hard drives ranged from 29 (no load) to 34C (under load). Cutting out the plastic and drilling some holes for ventilation resulted in a reduction in consumption of just 1°C. The operating range of SSDs is around 0-70°C, but high temperatures shorten life expectancy. So I ordered Fenlink, and the temperature is 30-31 ° C. Under load, the temperature does not change. The build quality is excellent, there are no installation problems, and the transmission speed is stable. The temperature issue I noticed may be related to my setup, but I couldn't give it more than three stars compared to competitors using plain metal.
