My other scales were only grams. I found that within 5 grams the type of scale differs by 20%. No wonder my recipes didn't work. Since this scale has become accurate to 100 grams, things are going much better. I'm better at getting flour, water, etc. down to a tenth of a gram. The tare function is great. I can still weigh the ingredients individually without removing the container (like the mixing bowl) between each added ingredient. Such a time saver! Protective cases are great for preventing things from falling or landing on them. Helps maintain cleanliness for a long time, also does not affect the accuracy of the scale over time.
