Not exactly wool! Ruined my iron :((
This pad ruined my iron on the first try! The material is definitely NOT wool. It looks like compressed plastic (melted plastic is what the dirt on my iron looks and smells like ) I had a wonderful wool rug that I ironed for years, I decided to get a bigger one and ruined the fabric and iron when it melted onto it!
