Functional! for timing belt tools
Not the best option by any means, but it works! The first installation of the belt with this kit went smoothly, the car started immediately afterwards. Checked the time via Vag-Com afterwards and got +1.5 degrees, GOOD within +/- 6 degrees tolerance.
