I am very happy with this fan but I had to change directions. My old Nutone hood had a fan that mounts the motor under the fan blades and it looked pretty much the same as this one. When delivered, however, this fan is mounted with the fan at the bottom and the motor at the top. In my setup, the fan has been reversed and blows instead of sucking. To change direction you need to loosen the two screws on the end of the motor, remove the bearing cover and then flip the magnet (see photo). Put everything back together and the motor spins in the opposite direction. It took me about five minutes. Search YouTube for Yb_k6gxNej0 and you will find the instruction video I followed to achieve this. Works perfectly! Light a match and blow it out to see the smoke go. Replaced my old fan which rumbled so loud the wall vibrated.
