Prevents the bed frame from slipping on parquet floors
As the title says, every time I climbed into the double bed, the bed frame moved a little on the floor, which caused scratches over time. Glue or self-adhesive solutions. They offer the same frictional counterforce to keep the bed frame from moving, but I bet they'll last a lot longer. The downside is that a single piece of furniture costs more to make stationary and can look very flashy.
