No assembly required, everything is well packaged. The box was a little wrinkled but the inside was in good condition. This table matches the sofa I'm working on perfectly. That's enough so you don't have to bend your neck at an awkward angle to look at your laptop. It's on the higher side compared to some other tables I've seen. The frame is durable. The top looks like cheap plastic, but it's functional. The area is sufficient for a 15 inch laptop. All in all, this is a good work/coffee table for your workspace.
