I used to use two 200 watt heaters in my 60 gallon aquarium but then switched to this beautiful 300 watt heater. It's quite stunning and I like the look of milky quartz. It's like a functional work of art. The cage/sleeve/guard around the element does not need to be removed, unlike typical aquarium heaters where the element is in the glass and then inserted into the sleeve. So far I like this heater. I don't feel the need to run two heaters to keep the temperature constant, my tank stays right where I want it. Oh, it also has a red light under the quartz at the top that lights up when actively heated. I love this feature. Until now I have had nothing but additions to this heater.
