Is that a normal value for about a dollar a sharpener? I should have said no. The blades are not "sharpened" as advertised, which is the main factor here. Of course you say it's just a dollar. But is it worth clenching your teeth? Swearing, rising dental bills, and irritating family members? I do not think so. Save a few cents more and buy Cadillac sharpeners from the KUM brand made in Germany. Find them here. Well, that's the real deal (still cheap). The blades are so sharp they'll peel the hard skin off scrap pencils, which sell for a dollar a dozen in dollar stores. Trash Pencils, they've finally met a worthy opponent!
