Install it parallel to the ground

First I installed it flush with the top of the mirror housing. I have a feeling that the tilt of the mirror is outside the horizontal usage limits. I changed it and much better. Allows me to check blind spots, making me less distracted by things in front of me. The photo is roughly how I would put it on a Subaru Legacy.
