The mixing concept of the bottles you drink from is great, but the blade part gets noisy and after 6-8 months wears out so much that it no longer rotates or rotates inconsistently. and begins to smoke and affect the taste of food. Note to self: if you start hearing the speed change mid-mix, stop using it and order a replacement blade for $20! Increasing volume over time is like putting a frog in a saucepan — too subtle over time to really notice until it's past its prime. Concerned about total cost of ownership compared to other blenders with longer lasting blades. Blades at $20 for 5 years = $150 + $80 each = $230.
