Good for the price.
They were almost ready to use right out of the box. I tested them at 4/5 oz. veg tan and again at 6/7 oz. vegetable tan. In both tests, all but the biggest impact cut cleanly and easily through the skin. I'm sure I'll have no problem with that after sharpening the biggest hit a bit. As others have said these are ugly tools but for the price they are good and will work just fine.
