This replacement is required for Mustang and F150. In addition to the fact that my regular plastic broke (red arrow), the kickstand broke at the weld with the pedal (yellow circle). I welded the broken brace back to the pedal and installed this aluminum brace on the clutch master cylinder. I had to remove the entire pedal assembly and master cylinder due to a cracked weld bracket. Otherwise all I would have to do was put it on, tighten the set screw with a dab of Loctite, and it would be ready to go.
