The bore is too small for the master cylinder shaft.

Master cylinder shaft did not fit. I had to drill about 30 mil more with a 19/64 bit. This leaves the part very thin around the edges of the hole, but works after that.

Simple and efficient

I bought this for my '06 Mustang and it was fairly easy to replace, you need a wrench to tighten the part. I don't know if I'm sitting near the wheel, but sometimes I can still hear the tensioner grinding. so i have to study it.

It was very difficult to install a very good product

It took about 10 minutes to install the new part. A flat head to pull out the small clip that held the factory one and you will need a small allen wrench to tighten the screw

Probably okay though. good fit for gearbox and gearbox

My factory clutch rod connector was fine but I bought it as a preventive measure for my 2005 Mustang GT. However, the only way to remove the replacement part is to cut it off, which I was very reluctant to do. It's also very awkward to reach, especially when trying to reattach the clip holding the clutch perch. So I will save if the spare part ever breaks.

Don't buy plastic! Buy this.

This replacement is required for Mustang and F150. In addition to the fact that my regular plastic broke (red arrow), the kickstand broke at the weld with the pedal (yellow circle). I welded the broken brace back to the pedal and installed this aluminum brace on the clutch master cylinder. I had to remove the entire pedal assembly and master cylinder due to a cracked weld bracket. Otherwise all I would have to do was put it on, tighten the set screw with a dab of Loctite, and it would be ready…

Quality compared to original manufacturer

V8 Mustang clutch fell and I was lucky to reach the curb. After towing it home this part was found to be broken, only it was made by the manufacturer and was made of plastic. Wanted something that would stand the test of time. It was a perfect fit and an easy fix. It was expedited due to the need to travel by car, so I can't say how fast regular delivery is. Looks like a quality item. About 1 month has passed since installation, no problems.

Old school craftsmanship at its finest

Amazing item. Saved over $100 and got rid of the hassle of replacing the clutch master cylinder. 10 minutes fixed. I used some Loctite to be on the safe side. One of the few cases where a rehash is actually better than the original. I'm glad there are still real champions. I am genuinely surprised that given the number of reported failures of a factory plastic fitting it is not available at parts stores. Glad I checked here. CYLINDER ROD MUST POINT FULLY INTO TRUNK (may require some filing)

SAME POINT as plastic eyelet. If you don't, you're increasing the stroke you're pushing, which can destroy your entire clutch master cylinder. I have a 2006 S197 Mustang. My part did not initially cover the cylinder rod. Using a small round dremel (or hand file) I drilled out the hole a bit. Then my replacement eyelet slipped off, but there was still a pinched piece of mouthguard under the replacement eyelet. You MUST remove the eyelet, drill a little more so the cylinder rod is fully seated…
