First, the accuracy of this device is exceptional: within 0.2 degrees Fahrenheit of a standard mercury thermometer. Second, easy to read and easy to use. A good long stick to keep your hand away from hot food and kitchen surfaces. A magnet is great to keep handy in the kitchen (on the fridge) or on cool grill surfaces (if you have one, but most are plastic). Have tried several other brands (mostly cheaper) over the past few years and found them to be inaccurate. and inconvenient to use (e.g. short probes). A previous model of this device failed after moderate use for 6 months, but this current model was used for 6-8 meals per week (July-November 2020) and 3-4 meals per week. week (December 2020) no problem. I've maintained its accuracy for the past six months.
