Review on Akai CE2000USA CE2000 USA Boom Box by Paul Williams

I just threw mine away after having owned it for a little over a year. I never liked it because the CD drive's rotating motor made a noticeable whirring noise that made the sound quality very poor at low volumes. In addition, the CD head had some issues that caused it to make a repetitive loud clicking noise when turned on and after each CD was played. (By opening the lid during such snapping episodes, one could see the head reaching the innermost position without realizing that it had already reached the inner limit.)
